I'm crazy

So, we have a fireplace that was walled over in the boys room. Toby and I have discussed cutting a hole in the wall to see what condition it is in. However, I didn't have the guts to do it...until now. One day later and the whole wall is almost gone. Surprisingly, it is in pretty good shape with a few bricks that may need to be replaced as well as the mantle shelf. Anyways...here are some pictures of our crazy homeowner adventures....www.flickr.com/kkirk78.

Maya & Bella

I wanted to keep everyone informed about Bella's progress. Yesterday we went to see a lung specialist about her apnea monitor. While she is doing great with breathing, the doctor was very concerned about Bella and got us an appointment with a pediatric neurologist today. The neurologist was concerned about Bella's continued seizures as well as her muscle tension and excessive sleepiness. He scheduled Bella to have an MRI and we will be returning to see him in July. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.
Thanks,
Ashlee

Happy Mother's Day To You

Happy Mother's Day to you Heidi!

This morning our pastor preached a very good message about being a mother. If any one is interested in listening to it, you can download it here : www.crosswayonline.org - it is title "Her children rise up". I REALLY encourage you to listen to it. We are all such young mothers and this sermon provides such a good message to us to raise our kids for the Glory of the Lord!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!

I want to wish all of the Mothers aa Happy Mother's Day.

Especially to Grandma who started it all. She is awesome. When I think of her I think of a Titus 2:3-5 woman. "Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." Grandma is such a good example to all of us. I thank God for her every day.

Happy Mother's Day to.......
Tami, Margie, Lisa, Mary Ann, Trisha, Hillary, Ashlee, Melissa, Kendra, and Mindy!

I hope everyone has a great day!!

Writing a book

I have decided to write a book about my experience losing Jesse and Waylon. I have become wonderful friends with Andrea and Karen, two moms that lost their twins to twin to twin transfusion syndrome also. The book will be emails between the three of us as well as posts that we posted on the ttts message board. I orginally wanted to do it for the three of us just for us to remember and see what we have all gone through in the last year. But, as I am going through the posts and emails I realize just how much that it might help new parents going through the same situation. I have an uncle in the publishing business so I am hoping that he will be able to help me. I just hope that I can let other parents know that they are not alone in what they are experiencing. All of the books I found for grief and losing a child were so "this is what you will feel" and not personal experiences.
