Keet in the Philippines

In case any of you are interested in following Keet during his time in the Philippines, our church is keeping a blog - http://crosswaykenosha.blogspot.com/. I have spoken to him twice and things are going fine for him. He is getting used to the time difference and the work is going well for him. There are a couple of pictures on the blog with Keet in them. One is quite funny - while everyone else is listening to one of the locals talk about the building, Keet is looking up in the air - trying to see a bird! :) On another note, Cole took his first couple of steps last night without holding onto anything! We will see if he does it more in the next couple of days.

This is How M-Dog Rolls

For years, men have lived dual lives split between their super-hero personas and their mild-mannered alter egos. Some you may recall - Superman and Clark Kent, Batman and Bruce Wayne, etc. etc. etc. Within our family you can see some of the same tendencies - "The Polyester Smoothy" and Joey Redden, "The Pretty Princess" and Steve Redden just to name a few. Well . . . . not to be outdone, Marshall has developed his own persona . . . "M-Dog!" Ladies better beware when M-Dog is on the prowl.

With his dashing good looks and cat-like quickness, M-Dog is a formidable opponent. "What chu' lookin' at sucka?!?!?!?"
Occassionally, M-Dog shows a bit of his softer side while "hangin'" with his sistas. But, don't let the velvet touch fool you . . . ."You better back up off me homey!!!!"
While we are cautiously optimistic that M-Dog is simply a phase, Ashlee seems quite content with the "new" member of the family. Caroline, on the other hand, is a bit more skeptical (as you can see from this pic). We will keep you updated on Marshall's, I mean M-Dog's, comings and goings . . .

The Philippines...and A Big Boy!

Cole standing on his own.

We put daddy's hat on Cole.

Keet getting ready to go.

Keet left for the Philippines today for 2 weeks. In case some of you don't know, he went with a group of about 20 from our church. They will be building a church, but also leading a pastors' conference. Keet's primary role in going is to teach some of the sessions at the conference. Hopefully the time will go by fast for Cole and I. We will miss him but we will keep each other company.

Speaking of Cole, he is getting so big! You can tell he wants to walk so badly. He has been standing on his own for about 2 weeks now and if he is standing up and wants to go across the room, you can see it in his eyes that he wants to take a step, but he isn't ready yet. He is a fun little boy. Very active and interested in everything. Hope everyone is doing well! - Hillary

Disney World

This is Ashlee with Cinderella. We had dinner in the castle. It was very fun.
I thought you would all enjoy this one. As you can see Marshall did not want his picture taken with Cinderella. This picture will be fun to have over the years.
Then of course the picture of the family in front of the castle. We had a really good time, but we are exhausted now. I will post more pictures when I get them downloaded.

Emilie and Todd - News!

I think Emilie sent an email with her news. Todd asked Emilie to marry him on Sat. (grandma's birthday). They stopped by our house after. There are no details to share yet. Emilie is in the midst of busy season. They will try to set a date, and we will go from there!

More photos

Jeff was able to join us for lunch, along with Mark and Evelyn.

snow baby

We've got about 10 inches of snow so we bundled up the babe and threw her out in it. She really could've cared less, but at least she was cute.
